This does not seem to me to be a wise and prudent use of God's gifts. An electric fan should be sufficient to provide relief from the heat, even at this temperature. Most forms of generating electricity have some negative effect on the environment, so we should try to use as little as possible-- and air conditioners are real hogs of electricity. High temperatures are more easily endured when we become acclimated to them rather than fighting them.
The only time air conditioning is really necessary is after three or four days of high temperatures in excess of 35 degrees Celsius (although high humidity may need to be considered as well). Many things can and should be done to seek relief from heat before air conditioning is used as a last resort. Air conditioning is a luxury and not normally a necessity.
